Welcome to the Beaconsfield Country Fayre
Beaconsfield Country Fayre is organised by the Friends of St Mary’s Church, Rennie Grove Hospice Care, the Rotary Club, the Round Table and the Beaconsfield Society, and over the past 12 years has raised over £150,000 for local charities. All money raised is distributed back to these organisations who then distribute funds to local charities, thus ensuring that a fun day out for all the family generates much-needed funds for the local community.
This is the 13th year of the Beaconsfield Country Fayre which has become an annual event for the whole family on August Bank Holiday Monday (26th August 2019) attracting some 5,000-6,000 people.
The Stretcher Race is the main event of the Country Fayre and focuses on competing teams raising sponsorship funding, whilst providing great entertainment for spectators as they watch four stretcher bearers carry a fifth, all of whom are in fancy dress, around a gruelling course of seven pubs. And for the budding athletes, there is of course, the Children’s Stretcher race where teams of 4 carry a Teddy Bear patient along a short course along Windsor End.
Other attractions this year include a giant inflatable slide, a climbing wall, numerous craft and food stalls, a great balloon race and other children’s entertainment, Birds of Prey display, a children’s petting zoo, junior grand Prix circuit with go-karts and a Bucking Bronco Ride.
